Group class capacity: Managing reformer and mat class bookings
Group classes are a studio’s most efficient hours and the hardest to manage. On a reformer you can take as many people as you have machines: one too many breaks the class, one empty spot is lost revenue.

For reformer classes, capacity equals the number of machines; for mat classes most studios work with 8 to 12 people. In MAVI PANO you set the capacity when creating the class; when it is full no one else can be added, even if two people try to take the last spot at the same time.

See occupancy at a glance
Each class shows occupancy such as “2 / 6” and “4 spots left”, and the week shows total filled spots. Hours that are always empty can be closed and hours that always fill can get a second group.
Set up recurring classes once
Choose the weekdays a class repeats on and it is added to the following weeks. Changes can apply to a single day or to all following classes.
One-tap attendance
Each attendee has “Attended” and “Absent” buttons. Marking “Attended” deducts a session from the member’s package and saves the visit in their history.
Inactive and frozen members
Inactive members cannot be added to classes. Planned classes during a freeze are cancelled so the spot opens up for someone else.
Remind tomorrow’s attendees today
No-shows are the main reason for empty spots. The “Follow-ups” list includes members with a class tomorrow and opens a ready WhatsApp reminder with the class time.
Clear, concise answers.
What capacity should a reformer group class have?
As many people as you have reformers. Mat classes usually take 8 to 12 people.
Can members be added once a class is full?
No. When capacity is reached, the class is shown as full and no one else can be added.
Does group class attendance use a package session?
Yes. Marking a member as attended deducts one session.
